Who is recommended to see an angiologist?

Angiological examination is required if there are symptoms suggestive of a vascular disease or if patients have underlying conditions (like diabetes or hypertension) which may lead to adverse events such as the damage of the vascular system. To detect these complications and to start the treatment at the right time are extremely important, in order to improve the quality of life and life expectancy as well. The role of the angiologist is crucial in the prevention, treatment and the post-surgery follow-up process.

  • Over 50 years of age it is recommended to see the angiologist for screening even without complaints!
  • Angiological monitoring is definitely recommended if the appearance of cardiovascular diseases is common in the the patient’s family!
