If the child

  • does not eat enough or does not eat well
  • may eat too much and this is also reflected in his/her weight
  • often has abdominal pain
  • has puffy belly
  • struggles with stool problems
  • food allergy is suspected (milk, egg, soya, wheat protein, oilseeds, some fruits)
  • coeliac disease or other intolerance (lactose, fructose) is suspected
  • reflux is suspected (gastric contents flow back into the gullet)
  • has fever (pediatric consultation is necessary due to recurrent or prolonged complaints)
  • rashes appear on the trunk, limbs or on the face (small red spots, larger blisters or other skin problems such as eczema etc.)
  • based on his/her examinations: if for pediatric ultrasound, laboratory or other findings a pediatric consultation is required, as well as if a certificate is needed (ECSP paper, certificate for food handlers in catering), it is worth visiting Dr Nóra J. Béres, our pediatrician who is furthermore about to take the pediatric gastroenterologist specialist exam.

„During my university years, I started dealing with pediatrics including pediatric gastroenterology. I am currently working at the Children’c Clinic I. in the departments of gastroenterology and hepatology as a pediatric gastroenterologist specialist. My main interests are the care of children with inflammatory bowel diesease, and the examination of abdominal pain and poor weight gain. I consider the continuous professional development important, which is the reason why I have participated in a lot of research and trainings on these topics.”
