As a pediatric nephrologist, he deals with the investigation and treatment of diseases affecting the kidneys and the internal urinary tract (urinary tract infections, nocturnal and daytime urination, children with childhood hypertension).

- Urinary tract infections
- Bed wetting (enuresis nocturna)
- Renal and urinary tract developmental abnormalities detected from newborn age: renal pelvic dilatation, kidney with double renal pelvis, horseshoe kidney, other anatomical anomalies of the internal urinary system, vesicoureteral reflux (VUR)
- Examination of urine protein and/or blood urine (hematuria)
- Abnormality in renal function (elevated serum creatinine)
- Childhood hypertension
- Examination of nephrolithiasis (kidney stones)
- Nephrotic syndrome

“I started my medical career in an emergency department and I also participated in basic immunology research. Since obtaining my PhD, I have been working at the Semmelweis University’s Pediatric Clinic No I, where I first took a specialist exam in pediatrics and then in nephrology.
In addition to up-to-date medical knowledge, I consider it important to find a common ground with children and to solve any anxiety with a little humour. I believe that in addition to treating physical symptoms and complaints, we also need to take care of the soul, and I try to pay attention to that. As a father, I have been on the other side of the coin many times, so I can sympathize with parents’ concerns and see them as partners.
In pediatrics, I mainly deal with childhood kidney diseases.
Bed wetting (enuresis nocturna) is one of the most common complaints that parents seek a pediatric nephrologist for. Most of the time it is completely harmless and resolves spontaneously, but we complete some tests to try to identify problems of an organic origin that may be associated with similar complaints. In general, the problem is treated over 5 years of age in girls and 6 in boys.
Parents can also consult a pediatric nephrologist if an abdominal ultrasound scan shows renal dilatation or other anatomical abnormalities of the urinary tract, if urine test results show protein excretion (proteinuria) or blood in the urine (hematuria), or if higher values are detected in laboratory tests related to the kidney function (serum creatinine level).
As a pediatric nephrologist, I also deal with childhood hypertension (high blood pressure) (diagnosis, examination, care).
Investigation of these abnormalities may also include laboratory tests, abdominal ultrasound diagnostics and urodynamic (uroflow) examination to help clarify the diagnosis.”
