Child psychiatry
At our clinic, we provide assessment and treatment for mental health difficulties in children and young people aged 4 to 18.
During the psychiatric evaluation, we work with the family to review the symptoms and assess whether they meet the criteria for a child psychiatric disorder. Where appropriate, we involve other specialists within the Panoráma Polyclinic (such as clinical psychologists or special education professionals) in the diagnostic process.
Following the assessment, and in line with national and international clinical guidelines, we provide recommendations for treatment where necessary. In the majority of cases, this involves some form of psychotherapy (individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, or a combination of these), though medication may also be indicated in certain situations.
